Revolucion de Cuba, Norwich
Hemmed in the centre of Norwich is a Cuban oasis, home to Revolucion de Cuba.
In the cold and wet months of the UK the outdoor restaurant space was vastly under utilised and unappealing. We transformed the timber huts into plush private cabanas inspired by the vibrant timber homes in Cuba, particularly Fidel castros childhood home in Biran.
In the Cuban way the aesthetic is about paired-back-simplicity, vibrant colours and lush evergreen planting. We detailled bespoke furniture and furnishings to bring a fun, authentic feel.
Operationally we transformed an unrequired toilet block into a bar service with awning, installed new decking to improve flow, a covered access ramp, planting, lighting and a covered pergola.
Internally the conservatory space was updated with new furniture and upgraded glazing performance. The versatile space now provides a spacious and lush feel.
